Marc Solis serves as Executive Director of the Fresno Convention and Entertainment Center (FCEC), providing executive leadership for Valdez Hall and the broader campus that includes the Fresno Convention Center, Saroyan Theatre, and Selland Arena. With more than 25 years of senior leadership in public assembly facilities, Marc brings a proven record of opening and operating major venues, strengthening financial performance, and delivering exceptional guest experiences across conventions, meetings, sports, and live entertainment.
Marc’s background includes extensive new facility and capital project leadership, having opened and managed Toyota Field (San Antonio), the American Bank Center (Corpus Christi), and the Laredo Entertainment Center, and previously managing the 65,000-seat Alamodome. Most recently, he served as President & CEO of Bert Ogden Arena and H-E-B Park in Edinburg, Texas, guiding two new facilities through launch and full-scale operations. As General Manager of State Farm Arena, he helped the venue achieve one of its strongest years and earn recognition in Pollstar’s Top 100 Arenas worldwide.
For Valdez Hall, Marc’s priorities include strengthening client service standards for meetings, banquets, and special events, supporting convention sales growth and repeat business, and ensuring seamless event execution for planners and guests—while advancing the FCEC’s broader goals of deepening downtown Fresno partnerships and expanding community programming across the campus. Known for building durable relationships with promoters, CVBs, vendors, tenants, and civic leaders, Marc is active with IAVM, IEBA, IPA, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
