A State-Of-The-Art Theatre on the Bridge View Center Complex
Bridge View Center's beautiful 664-seat theater is designed to elevate any event, from general sessions and speakers to stage productions and concerts. Featuring state-of-the-art multi-format video projection and an advanced sound system, it promises an unparalleled experience. The stage area spans 97′ x 40′, including a covered orchestra pit, a 57′ high fly loft, 32-line sets, and 48″ acoustic-enhancing ‘clouds’. The proscenium measures 24’ tall x 46′ 4″ wide.
Backstage, the theater offers comprehensive services, including a green room, private dressing rooms, a larger choral dressing room with restrooms, and studio space. The venue also boasts extensive theatrical lighting capabilities, complete with sound and light boards, and houses a 9′ Steinway & Sons Concert Grand Piano (Model D) in a climate-controlled vault. Additionally, a costume and scene shop equipped with a washer and dryer is available for all production needs.

Scott Hallgren
Scott Hallgren, CVE, has been the Executive Director of VenuWorks at Bridge View Center in Ottumwa, Iowa since 2015, leading the venue to increased programming and revenue growth. Previously, he managed the Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer, Iowa, significantly boosting its events and economic impact. Scott's career in venue management began in 1994, and he has been an active member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) since 2004. He has served in various leadership roles within IAVM and his community and is currently president of the Ottumwa Rotary Club. Celebrating 20 years with VenuWorks in 2024, Scott lives in Ottumwa with his wife, Trudy, and their children.
