Opened to the public in 2007, the Bridge View Center graces the banks of the Des Moines River, serving as the crown jewel of Ottumwa, Iowa. This impressive 92,000-square-foot complex features a versatile 30,000-square-foot expo hall, capable of transforming into a 2,934 -seat arena for concerts and large stage productions. The hall can be divided into three 10,000-square-foot sections, each accommodating up to 500 guests for banquets or meetings.
In addition to the expo hall, the venue includes adjacent conference and meeting spaces, as well as a 665-seat theater. The Bridge View Center is renowned for its exceptional menu, meticulously crafted by an in-house award-winning chef. Scott Hallgren
Scott Hallgren, CVE, has been the Executive Director of VenuWorks at Bridge View Center in Ottumwa, Iowa since 2015, leading the venue to increased programming and revenue growth. Previously, he managed the Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer, Iowa, significantly boosting its events and economic impact. Scott's career in venue management began in 1994, and he has been an active member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) since 2004. He has served in various leadership roles within IAVM and his community and is currently president of the Ottumwa Rotary Club. Celebrating 20 years with VenuWorks in 2024, Scott lives in Ottumwa with his wife, Trudy, and their children.
