Located in the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the Paramount Theatre is a cherished historic venue that has been a cornerstone of the local cultural scene since 1928. With its mission to provide top-quality cultural, educational, and entertainment events to the citizens of Cedar Rapids and Eastern Iowa, the theatre continues to be a vibrant hub for a wide variety of performances and gatherings.
With a 1,690-seat capacity, the historic Paramount Theatre is a perfect venue for concerts, Broadway shows, corporate meetings, and dance recitals. It boasts historic architecture restored in 2011 following a catastrophic flood to its original grandeur, complemented by modern amenities. The expanded lobby space extends into the adjacent building, providing a more spacious and welcoming environment. As the proud home of Orchestra Iowa, it offers exceptional live music performances. Additionally, the state-of-the-art stage now features an expanded stage area, a restored historic organ, and a marquee.

Scott Piquard
Scott Piquard, an Iowa native, began his events industry career in 1996 at the Five Seasons Center (now Alliant Energy PowerHouse) and the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Over the years, Scott has played a pivotal role in shaping Cedar Rapids' event landscape.
In 2000, Scott was promoted to Event Manager, hosting over 900 event titles across Cedar Rapids venues. He was significantly involved in building renovation oversight, managing both pre-flood renovations and post-flood recovery at the Paramount Theatre and U.S. Cellular Center.
Recognized for his leadership, Scott was appointed Director of Event Operations in 2012. He managed event logistics teams at the Paramount Theatre, U.S. Cellular Center (now Alliant Energy PowerHouse), McGrath Amphitheater, and ImOn Ice Arena. From 2012 to 2021, Scott oversaw logistics for over 1,200 unique events.
In 2022, Scott became General Manager of the historic Paramount Theatre, using his extensive industry knowledge to enhance its success and prominence in the community. Scott Piquard's career exemplifies his commitment to excellence in event management and dedication to the cultural and entertainment vibrancy of Cedar Rapids.
