Thomas "Toby" Peters serves as the Chief Development Officer of VenuWorks, where he spearheads business development efforts and upholds the integrity of the VenuWorks brand. He leads the creation and execution of proposals, presentations, and sales materials, while also managing corporate communications, including the company’s website. Toby's efforts ensure that VenuWorks continues to grow and thrive as a trusted partner for venues across the industry. 

Beginning his VenuWorks career in 2007 at the RiverCenter and Adler Theatre in Davenport, Iowa, Toby steadily advanced through roles such as Brand Manager and Director of Business Development. His leadership, strategic planning skills, and deep understanding of brand management have been instrumental in driving VenuWorks’ success in acquiring new accounts and expanding its influence. 

Before joining VenuWorks, Toby served as a youth pastor in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he fostered community engagement and developed impactful youth programs. This international experience shaped his collaborative leadership style and reinforced his passion for creating meaningful connections. 

Toby holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and an MBA from the University of Iowa. His leadership philosophy centers around clarity and empowerment, guided by two questions he considers essential for success: “Do you know what you should be doing right now?” and “Do you have the resources to accomplish it?” This approach underpins his contributions to VenuWorks and his work with venue owners and clients alike. Now based in Bettendorf, Iowa, Toby is dedicated to helping clients reach their goals, ensuring every venue meets its greatest potential through innovative solutions and strategic collaboration.
