Scott Smith brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in venue management, making him a trusted leader in operations, production, and safety at VenuWorks. In his role as National Director, Scott focuses on improving day-to-day operations and ensuring every venue he oversees is safe, efficient, and welcoming for the community. 

Before joining VenuWorks, Scott was the Director of Operations at the Swiftel Center, where he led his team to national recognition for their outstanding event execution. Over the years, he has managed all kinds of events—concerts, conventions, and sports—always working to create positive guest experiences that leave a lasting impression. 

Scott is particularly passionate about advancing safety in venues. He’s developed thoughtful protocols that protect guests while instilling confidence in partners and the broader community. His commitment to safety and ongoing professional development is reflected in his certifications and active membership in the International Association of Venue Managers. 

Known for his collaborative leadership, Scott thrives on building strong teams and fostering partnerships that drive success. His dedication to shaping venues as hubs for recreation, culture, education, and economic growth aligns with VenuWorks’ mission, making him an integral part of their efforts to serve communities and create meaningful experiences.
