Scott Mullen, CVE serves as VenuWorks’ Vice President of Programming & Entertainment, leading programming strategy across the company’s portfolio of managed venues. Working alongside venue teams and the venue partners VenuWorks serves, he focuses on expanding the event pipeline, strengthening relationships with agents, promoters, and touring partners, and identifying new opportunities that drive revenue and community engagement.
A respected industry veteran, Mullen brings decades of experience in live entertainment booking, strategic programming, artist relations, and venue operations across arenas, performing arts centers, stadiums/amphitheaters, and convention/conference facilities. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Vibrant Arena at The MARK in Moline, Illinois, where he oversaw booking and event strategy and helped elevate the venue’s profile with national touring acts and family shows. He is recognized for performance-driven leadership—turning the arena from a deficit operation into sustained success, including net profits exceeding $2 million annually in two of the past three years. He has also delivered record net annual profits while managing Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New York and the Hersheypark Arena, Stadium & Amphitheater complex in Pennsylvania.
Mullen has been active in the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) since 1993, serving in national leadership roles including Arena Sector Director and Director of Region 3, and contributing to multiple industry committees. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Drake University and a master’s degree from Temple University.
