H.R. Cook serves as Regional Vice President of Operations at VenuWorks, where he provides strategic direction to multiple managed locations and acts as a key corporate liaison between clients and venue management teams.
With over 25 years of senior-level leadership experience in the venue management industry, H.R. brings unparalleled expertise in account management, complex venue operations, and executing large-scale projects. Among his notable achievements is his successful leadership of a $45 million renovation and expansion project, along with completing critical feasibility studies for venue growth and negotiating numerous client and tenant contracts.
Before joining VenuWorks, HR held the role of Regional General Manager at the Five Flags Center in Dubuque, IA. Across his 35-year career, he has served in senior leadership positions at major venues, including historic theaters, multi-purpose arenas, convention centers, sports and equestrian facilities. His tenure includes roles such as General Manager at the Kansas Expocentre, IMA Sports Arena, and Macon Coliseum. Whether overseeing daily operations at an individual facility or supervising regional accounts, H.R. has consistently driven operational success by building cohesive, high-performing teams.
