The University of North Dakota recently signed a 10-year lease with the Alerus Center, for Fighting Sioux Football. The Alerus Center, managed by VenuWorks, is located in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
"This new contract is a great evolution in our partnership with the Alerus Center. As the primary tenant, we have been pleased to call the Alerus Center the home of UND football," said UND President, Robert Kelley. "It also has become the home of UND's spring commencement, as well other UND-related activities throughout the year. We look forward to a decade of exciting Division I football and an even closer relationship in the years to come."
Since the opening of the Alerus Center, this is the first time a multiple-year football lease with UND has been signed.

BACKGROUND
VenuWorks is well known for its success in providing full management services for arenas, theaters, and convention centers, which are primarily under the governance of municipalities, counties, colleges, and universities. VenuWorks, headquartered in Ames, Iowa, serves 28 facilities in 15 communities throughout the US. It also manages food and beverage operations and provides event booking and promotion services. VenuWorks also performs feasibility studies and consulting work for clients with existing and prospective public assembly facilities.
