Tim Sullivan has been named Director of Finance for VenuWorks, company President Steve Peters announced. VenuWorks is one of the top facility management companies in the United States. Its corporate headquarters are in Ames, Iowa.
Sullivan will be responsible for budgeting and financial reporting at all VenuWorks facilities.
"This is an exciting opportunity for me to work in a dynamic industry," said Sullivan, who comes to VenuWorks from the health care industry. He spent the past five years at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, where he gained extensive accounting and finance experience. His last position was Internal Audit Manager.
Sullivan is a 2000 graduate of Iowa State University where he received a bachelor's of science degree in finance. He received a Masters of Business Administration from Drake University in 2006. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Healthcare Finance Professional.
Tim and his wife, Nicki, recently welcomed the arrival of their first child, Shaylin.
BACKGROUND
VenuWorks is well known for its success in providing full management services for arenas, theaters, and convention centers, which are primarily under the governance of municipalities, counties, colleges, and universities. VenuWorks serves 30 facilities in 16 communities and 11 states throughout the US. It also manages food and beverage operations and provides event booking and promotion services. VenuWorks also performs feasibility studies and consulting work for clients with existing and prospective public assembly facilities.
