VenuWorks Expands Davenport Contract to Include Parks and Recreation Concessions

VenuWorks has expanded its operations in Davenport, IA to include food and beverage management of the Davenport Parks and Recreation Concessions.  This contract includes year-round operations at The River's Edge ice and athletic complex as well as seasonal operations at the City owned golf courses, aquatic centers, and Centennial Park.

"We have been in Davenport longer than any of our other locations managing the RiverCenter and Adler Theatre, to be able to expand our operations in the community is something we are really looking forward to," said VenuWorks' President Steve Peters.  

VenuWorks began offering comprehensive food and beverage management services in 2010 and has experienced growth in sales throughout VenuWorks-managed locations.  In Davenport, concession sales have increased by 38% since taking the operation in-house. 

The RiverCenter will act as the home base for all of the concession stands and will be overseen by the RiverCenter's Executive Director Rick Palmer and Executive Chef / Director of Food and Beverage Chris Carton. New menus have been developed and implemented throughout the Davenport Park and Recreation concession stands.

"We feel that this has come at the right time for us.  Our operations at the RiverCenter and Adler Theatre have been met with great feedback from patrons," said Palmer.  "We look forward to bringing that service to concessions stands all over the community."
