Anderson as Paramount GM

President Steve Peters has named Jason Anderson as the new Paramount Theatre
General Manager for VenuWorks. He officially
began his new duties on July 1 and has been working since the first of the year
with the Theatre project team.
"We are bringing the right person in Jason to assume the responsibilities of re-opening this magnificent theatre, working with Orchestra Iowa and growing the Paramount Presents program," Peters said. "Jason's experience in working with our clients in the community at the Theatre, U.S. Cellular Center and Cedar Rapids Ice Arena were important factors in selecting him for the position. He is an integral part of the staff that has persevered through recovery from the Flood of 2008 which destroyed the Theatre."
Anderson began his venue management career at the U.S. Cellular Center in 2004 after graduating from the University of Northern Iowa. His responsibilities have steadily increased and he served as the venue's leader with the Girls' State Volleyball Tournament, NCAA Division III National Wrestling Championships and the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association World Tournament.
"I am excited to have this opportunity to re-open the Paramount Theatre. One of my first events with VenuWorks was the grand re-opening of the Paramount following the 2003 renovation," Anderson said. "Everything that we weren't able to do in 2003, we accomplished this time around thanks to our amazing partners. I was one of the first to step back into the Theatre after the flood water receded, since that day the Paramount has been in my blood. We have an amazing Grand Opening season planned and I can't wait for opening night."
The Paramount Theatre is scheduled to open this coming Fall. Watch for more news on the Grand Opening events at www.paramounttheatrecr.com.
